Abstract

This study investigates how practicing Khudi can help one find their inner strength, overcome challenges, break free from social norms, and attain a state of divine oneness. Iqbal's idea of Khudi promotes self-empowerment and creates the possibility of revolutionary individual and group transformation by reawakening the dormant divine spark, stoking a desire for self-empowerment, and shedding light on the latent force within. Iqbal is focused on purposeful action and strengthening as it expands the value of human existence and elevates it closer to God Iqbal said,

You are a secret teller, become clear to your own, eyes

become the secret of the self, become the interpreter of God

This qualitative research explores some facts about the self in the writing of Iqbal that exist in human nature to be the perfect man and the vicegerent of God on Earth. Data related to the concept of self that Iqbal gives in his Urdu poetry was collected. The study's objectives were; to explore Iqbal’s notion of the “Self in the sense of the spiritual power of human beings. The researcher devised a qualitative research design to accomplish the study in light of the study’s objectives. The content collected in the data was manually analyzed and then the computational content analysis technique was adopted by using NVivo 12.0. The findings indicate that the reality-based truth of human learning relates to self-personal initiative and spiritual enlightenment. Khudi embodies more than just self-awareness; it captures people's boundless capacity to overcome limitations, influence their destiny, and unlock divine possibilities.
